Apples Tim Cook rolled out new iPhone 7 and 7 plus in their typical fashion, with lots of fanfare.
The new phones come with many new features and some that completely changed the design of the phones. For those of you who care about the color of your phone, Apple has offered two new colors, black with matte finish, with the higher gigabyte models having a more glossy finish. Apple also decided to keep the gold, silver and rose gold models.
For those of you who are concerned about storage, the iPhone 7 and 7 plus come with a 32, 128 and 258 gigabyte phones. Along with the increased storage Apple has introduced to the iPhone 7 and 7 plus an A10 fusion 64-bit quad core chip that is 40% faster than the last model.
Both new models come with a new and improved camera that has a 12 megapixel and new optical image stabilization system to make hand held photography better. The new camera comes with a 50% faster and 30% more energy efficient lens, coupled with the new quad led glad that puts out 50% more light and reaches 50% further than the previous models.
A new controversial decision made by Apple was to introduce new wireless ear buds called air pods. The new air pods are an extra feature that cost 125 dollars. For those of you who are attached to your headphones Apple is bundling what they call the lightning ear pods adapter, which enable you to use your headphones.
Another upgrade to the sound system is an extra set of stereo speakers located at the bottom of the phone. These speakers have twice the volume of the previous model.
In addition to the many changes Apple has made, the new phones are also water and dust resistant which can be beneficial for the more active user.
Finally a pressure plate was added in place of the home button that has been present in all previous models. The pressure plate reacts to different pressures and is responsive to ringtones, quick actions, messages and notifications.
