Senior Lucio Lester was expecting a regular school day, that is, until he saw a large flame engulf the front of his car.
Lester pulled into his parking spot before school and saw smoke coming from the hood. Lester then moved his car in order to avoid spreading the fire.
“I saw him sitting in his car while it was on fire,” Senior Tomas Korn said, “If that was me, I would’ve ditched the car and ran away.”
Coach Krista Latessa, armed with a fire extinguisher, was the first respondent to the incident, but when she was unable to solve the problem, a truck from the nearby fire department came to lend a hand and put out the fire.
“You have to feel bad for him,” Senior Jeremy Bouhdana said, “but it was definitely an interesting way to start off the morning.”
