Starting in June, Krop will host the third annual All-Star basketball camp. The first week starts on June 12th through the 16th and the second week begins from June 19th through the 23rd. Boys and girls from ages five through seventeen can join the camp. Students and other children from the community come to practice and train for their own exercise and for their upcoming basketball season. The camp is not limited to Krop students; children from all over the community are welcome to join.
The All-Star basketball camp is much more than just a camp for basketball. Campers will be active, safe, and make memories during the summer time.
“It was a great experience because I made many friends and learned a lot about basketball that helped me play a more active role on my basketball team.” says former camper Isabella Magnoli.
After two weeks in June, there will be a break from the camp and it will start again in August for another two weeks. The third week starts on July 31st through August 4th and the fourth week will begin August 7th through the 11th.
Most student athletes come to prepare for their school’s teams. The school basketball season starts practice less than a month into the school year so the camp gives a chance for the boys and girls on school teams to prepare and condition for the near season.
Camp registration is open now. Students athletes who have previously played on the school’s basketball teams have free entry. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you are not on the team. Registration is about 120$ per child for four weeks. For more information, or to register call Head basketball coach Chris Garcia at (786)-440-9242.
