After a run to regional semifinals and losing two seniors and the team’s best player, one would think the girls’ volleyball team wouldn’t come close to the season they had last year.
So far, that’s not the case as the team’s current record is 6-1, with wins against district rivals Hialeah and North Miami this past week.
The Lightning will try to use this early season momentum and stay focused for the rest of the season.
“We hope to have a strong team atmosphere on and off the court,” junior Brittany Steinfeld said. “It’s not the single point that matters, but the game as a whole. It’s always about being ready for the next thing and working together.”
