On Thursday, Aug. 24, Krop celebrated this year’s senior class with our school’s annual “Senior Crown Day,” where the upperclassmen flaunted their class pride by wearing blue clothes and making Class of 2024 crowns.
“I went to Burger King and Michaels to get supplies, I painted the crown blue and added silver accessories,” senior Talaya Williams said. “To me, my crown represents how far I’ve come in high school and that I’m proud to be a senior.”
In addition to dressing up, seniors also had the opportunity to get custom Class of 2024 lanyards and candy, as well as a preview to senior clothing designs for the school year. Managing the table were Class of 2024 volunteers, who encouraged their classmates to follow the club’s Instagram.
“The lanyards we give are the first official step in honoring 12 years of hard work put forth by Krop’s senior student body,” Class of 2024 Executive Board Member Joshua Thompson said. “Senior Crown day is the official moment where our seniors get to embrace their school spirit and fully experience what it means to be a senior.”
The festivities celebrating our oldest class here at Krop aren’t limited to Senior Crown Day, this school year every 24th of the month the class will be celebrated somehow, and will be granted the chance to flex their senior pride.
