With the flurry of shows coming to our televisions during the Fall season, it can be hard to find all the new and exciting content mixed in with all the returning, repetitive storylines. Here are three new shows coming to the small screen this fall.
1. The Good Place
If you’re looking for a comedy, look no further than NBC’s The Good Place. Starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, The Good Place tells the story of a character (Bell) who finds out she has passed away, and due to a case of mistaken identity, she has been placed in the “good” place instead of the bad. The Good Place is set to premiere on NBC on Monday, September 19, immediately following The Voice.
2. Designated Survivor
If a political thriller is your craving, ABC’s new show Designated Survivor may be the show for you. Starring Kiefer Sutherland, Designated Survivor depicts a lower level government employee who is forced to become the President after every member of the cabinet and Congress dies in a cataclysmic event. Designated Survivor is set to premiere on ABC on Wednesday, September 21, at 9:00 p.m.
3. Luke Cage
Lastly, if you’re desperate for some superhero action, Marvel’s Luke Cage is the show for you. Airing solely on Netflix on September 30, Mike Colter plays Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime. Marvel’s Luke Cage occurs within the same cinematic universe as Marvel’s other two Netflix originals, Daredevil and Jessica Jones, and is set to be followed by Marvel’s Iron Fist and The Defenders in 2017.
