As seniors, we have privileges that others don’t. We have senior events such as prom and grad bash, we miss class for college presentations and get to wear our class shirts whenever we want. It’s safe to say, senior year is one to enjoy.
Senior priority:
Seniors have priority over almost everything in high school. We receive first choice at parking spots, which means spots in the front, walking shorter distances and getting out of school quicker. When it comes to schedules, we are also prioritized. More importance is placed on classes seniors wish to take. If a senior and a sophomore want to take the same class, and there is only one spot left, the senior will get the class.
Get out of class free card:
College presentation, meetings with Mr. Roddy and senior assemblies are music to a senior’s ears. The opportunity to get out of class more than any other year is one that anyone would relish. As seniors, there are more assemblies such as the one for fundraising and senior dates. There are college presentations galore thanks to Mr. Roddy, which allow seniors to leave class to learn about more colleges.
Senior events:
Grad bash, prom and senior breakfast are occasions seniors look forward to. As the year comes to a close, so does the high school life of a senior. Prom is one of the events that seniors look forward to the most, a night that will produce many memories. Grad bash and senior breakfast are a great opportunity to spend time with friends while enjoying the final days as a high school student.
Senior shirts:
Uniforms are one of the most disliked rules at our school. Thanks to new principle Dr. Harley seniors are permitted to wear senior shirts every day of the year. This new rule allows the seniors to show class pride like they never have before.
As seniors, we stop trying to “survive” school and start living it. We enjoy our last year while focusing on our future. These few advantages help make the year more enjoyable than the previous three.
