Journal #10: Write a poem. Junior Angelica Gutierrez writes a poem about her cat. 

My cat is quite mean, 
He bites and scratches,
His body is no longer quite as lean, 
He feasts on batches and batches,
of wet food meals. 

Then, she writes that poetry is not her forte. She continues to speak of poetry, writes about a Spanish Learning book and her yearning for a Krop bagel.

Junior Kevin Arrias kept his pen moving for ten minutes about the "Vegas Shooting." He starts off his journal as if he is talking to another person. "59 dead. That's too many don't you think." His thoughts about gun laws and this act of terrorism pour out.
