Summer jobs don’t have to be a hassle. There are summer camps all across Florida that offer part-time jobs for students in high school. Here are a few to look into:

D.B.P Robotics

D.B.P Robotics created summer camps in Florida that strive to make children more imaginative. Their goal is to inspire an appreciation for science and technology by using robotics as a learning medium. Participants in the camp use Legos to build robots to teach them teamwork and independent thinking. Their summer camp location in North Miami Beach is in need of summer camp counselors. Available are part-time jobs that pay $10 an hour. The only requirements are that the worker must have a driver’s license and able to work well with children. More information is available at www.dbprobotics.com or call them at 786-262-6266.

Miami Children’s Museum

The Miami Children’s Museum seeks motivated counselors for their 2017 Explorers Camp. Through fun and hands-on activities, kids learn about foreign customs and traditions interwoven with the museum’s art galleries. Some of the activities include children handcrafting Chinese dough figurines and Mexican sugar skulls, learning the different ethnic dishes of the world and professional actors showing different cultures through music, dance and performances. The primary goal is for the participants to associate certain foods, sounds and art with geographical regions. The Museum offers a part-time job for $11 an hour but, applicants must have a year of experience working with children. To find out more email [email protected] or call at 305-373-5437.

Everglades Youth Conservation Camp

At the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp, programs feature a conservation educational theme with outdoor adventure activities in the Florida Everglades. The goal is to show kids the importance of protecting wilderness areas by experiencing first-hand wildlife all over Florida. Some of the activities at the camp include paddle sports, swimming, archery and hiking. This sleepaway camp is located in West Palm Beach and is in need of exceptional staff of at least 18 years of age who are passionate about outdoor recreation and conservation.
