Assistant Principal Humberto Brito scans freshman Vanessa Murat’s ID for wearing an out of uniform code sweater. Brito hopes that this stricter policy will reduce the amount of total violations.

Krop has been looking for a more efficient way to administer violations, so when Mr. Brito and Ms. Toronto came up with an idea, they immediately put it in place.

Since the first day of school, every administrator in the building was given scanners to alleviate the violation process. Instead of walking all the way to CSI for an infringement, every administrator can now scan your student ID using portable scanners. The recorded information then goes straight to the computer and is saved into the database.

“It can scan for violations such as, being late, dress code, or not being in class,” explained Brito.

The ultimate purpose of the scanners is so that necessary rules get followed. Due to the scanners practicality, it’s less time consuming for students and administrators and will be used in the upcoming years to keep violations at a minimum.
