As a part of PTSA’s Choose Kind week, HIV-positive speaker Scott Fried spoke to students about destructive decisions that lead to his infection and the importance of self worth on April 10, 2018. He gave three presentations throughout the day and two after school, one for teachers and one for parents.

Students approached Fried after his presentations, many to tell him how they felt and some even in tears. Fried met privately with student leaders in the activities office to talk about change-making and validation.
