Seniors, it’s that magical time of year again! College decisions are out and now you have the task of picking a school that will define your personality for the next four years, so I’ve broken it all down for you. Here’s what your college choice says about you.
Miami-Dade College (MDC)
You swear MDC is underrated and will die on that hill. If you go here, you either love a good deal or just need time to figure life out. You’re probably making the best decision out of all of us but please, you don’t need to keep saying “MDC is actually better because it’s cheap and I’m gonna transfer anyway.” Trust me, we get it.
University of Florida (UF)
Congrats, your application was the lucky one that didn’t get thrown out! You worked hard to be the chosen one that got into everyone’s dream school and now you’ll never miss the opportunity to tell everyone you’re a Gator for the rest of your life.
University of Miami (UM)
You’re either a rich kid who swears they’re not or you’re someone who’s about to make some very bold financial decisions. Either way, you’ll never admit that UM is just a bougie FIU, but at least you get to pretend you’re living a new life while still being 30 minutes from your mom’s house.
Florida State University (FSU)
If you go here, then you love to have fun. You might pretend you went here for the academics, but everyone knows you chose FSU to make partying your new personality trait. Whether it’s tailgates or frat parties, you chose FSO to make memories… even if you won’t remember half of them.
University of Central Florida (UCF)
You tell everyone that your school is “basically just UF in Orlando,” but deep down, you know they’re not the same. If you ended up choosing UCE, you’re either obsessed with Disney or you just wanted to be far enough from home without actually leaving the state.
Florida A&M University (FAMU)
You decided on FAMU for the culture, the parties and to tell everyone that you go to the best HBCU in Florida. While everyone else is out there pretending to care about football, you’ll be having more fun at homecoming than most people have in their entire college career.
University of South Florida (USF)
Let’s be real, USF might not have been at the top of your list, but here you are, making it work.
Choosing US shows you’re prac tical and adaptable, but maybe just a little too optimistic about how often you’ll actually use that student discount at Busch Gardens.
Florida International University (FIU)
You’ve probably never left Miami-Dade, and are not planning on it anytime soon. It’s familiar, it’s comfortable and you’re completely fine with that. You’ll see the same people, hear the same drama and probably still have to explain to your parents why you’re coming home late.
